Groundwork identifies high-fit buyers, qualifies the opportunity, engages the correct decision-makers and gets the meeting.

Your first 30 days

Two ways to start the same mandate.

Launch and Flex fund the identical first 30-day mandate. Launch costs less because you commit capital upfront; Flex costs more because Groundwork carries the first 30 days of delivery and payment risk.

If, within the first 30 days, the client does not believe the mandate has demonstrated sufficient value to justify continuing:

  • Launch: Groundwork refunds the R10 000 initial payment and the remaining R15 000 balance is not due.
  • Flex: the R35 000 initial mandate fee is not due.

Need more volume?

The Growth Mandate.

An expanded engagement, not a third payment plan: three times the standard meeting volume across the first 30 days, with both readiness reviews included.

Commercial terms

There is one standard Buyer Intelligence Mandate: R25 000 ex VAT per 30-day cycle for 3 qualified buyer meetings. Launch and Flex are two ways to fund the first 30-day mandate; Growth is a larger initial mandate with an enhanced meeting volume and both readiness reviews. Initial-mandate pricing applies to the initial mandate only. If the client continues thereafter, the standard ongoing mandate is R25 000 ex VAT per 30-day cycle for 3 qualified buyer meetings, unless a different ongoing volume or scope is agreed in writing.

Standard Mandate — R25 000 ex VAT.

The standard Buyer Intelligence Mandate is R25 000 ex VAT per 30-day cycle and delivers 3 qualified buyer meetings, with decision-maker research and outreach, reply handling and meeting scheduling, and opportunity tracking and progression.

Launch — R25 000 ex VAT in total.

R10 000 ex VAT is payable to commence the first 30-day mandate; the R15 000 ex VAT balance is payable at the end of that mandate. The total initial mandate cost is R25 000 ex VAT — less than Flex because the client commits capital upfront.

Flex — R35 000 ex VAT in total.

Nothing is payable upfront. R35 000 ex VAT becomes payable at the end of the first 30-day mandate, unless the 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee is exercised in accordance with these terms. The additional amount over Launch reflects Groundwork carrying the initial delivery and payment risk.

Growth Mandate — R40 000 ex VAT.

Payable upfront before launch. The initial mandate covers 9 qualified buyer meetings and includes both the Commercial Readiness Review and Sales Readiness Review described above.

30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.

The guarantee applies to the initial 30-day mandate only. If the client does not believe Groundwork has demonstrated sufficient value to justify continuing, the client may notify Groundwork in writing within that period. On Launch, Groundwork refunds the R10 000 initial payment in full and the R15 000 balance is not due. On Flex, the R35 000 initial mandate fee is not due.

Client participation. The guarantee assumes the client completes onboarding, supplies the information reasonably required to launch the mandate, provides timely feedback or approvals on targeting and messaging, and attends confirmed qualified meetings. Material client-caused delays or a material change in scope may require the initial 30-day period to be adjusted by agreement.

Qualified buyer meeting. A confirmed and attended meeting with a relevant decision-maker, budget holder or commercial stakeholder at a company matching the agreed buyer profile, where Groundwork’s intelligence indicates an active or relevant commercial need for the client’s solution.

Initial mandate period. The initial 30-day mandate begins on the agreed launch date recorded in the commercial schedule. Launch and Flex determine only how the initial mandate is funded; Growth is an expanded initial mandate with an enhanced meeting volume and included reviews. Each applies to the initial mandate only and does not change the standard ongoing rate or meeting volume.

Meeting shortfall. If the agreed meeting volume is not completed within the relevant mandate period, the outstanding meetings carry forward at no additional monthly mandate fee until delivered, unless the initial mandate has been terminated under the Satisfaction Guarantee.

Ongoing mandate. From the second 30-day cycle onward, the standard continuation rate is R25 000 ex VAT per cycle for 3 qualified buyer meetings. The initial Launch, Flex or Growth fee does not continue into subsequent cycles. Higher-volume or expanded commercial-support mandates may be agreed separately in writing where required.

Term & notice. Ongoing engagements are month-to-month. Either party may terminate with 30 days’ written notice.

Success fee. Where applicable, the commission structure and percentage are agreed in writing before launch and recorded in the commercial schedule. Commissions apply only to Groundwork-originated opportunities on the terms agreed with the client.

Client responsibility. The actual sale remains the client’s responsibility. Groundwork identifies buyers, validates commercial alignment, executes outreach, facilitates the qualified meeting and supports opportunity progression alongside the client.

VAT. All figures are quoted ex VAT. South African VAT at the prevailing rate is added on invoice.

Groundwork is a service of Solar Sage Renewable Energy (Pty) Ltd. These commercial terms are governed by the laws of South Africa and form part of the engagement’s master commercial schedule.
